4x4 Training - Off Road
Most 4x4 vehicles never see more than a puddle or two on normal tarmac-surfaced roads but their real strengths lie in their ability to cope with some of the roughest terrain the world has to offer.
One day, as an enthusiastic driver, you might be tempted to take a trip off-road...but would you know how to stay safe and get the most out of your vehicle?
The Automotional 4x4 course will fully equip you with all you need to know about surviving off-road, successfully getting from start to finish and keeping your vehicle free of damage.
The key learning points of the course are:
- Vehicle preparation, technical stuff and safety checks
- Stuff to take with you
- Approach, departure and tilt (or roll-over) angles
- Use of transmission options
- Controlled hill ascents and descents
- Failed climbs (what to do and what not to do!)
- Traversing
- Self-recovery
- Post-off-road vehicle safety checks
Currently the 4x4 experience experience is retailed at £99 however Automotional drivers can buy for just £89 for 1, £175 for 2 or £255 for 3.
Our patient and experienced instructors will ensure that everyone benefits and learns at their own pace; achieving and having huge amounts of fun.
The experience lasts for 2 hours (1 ½ in car) and you will share the car with up to 2 other drivers.
