The Amazing Skid Car!
Despite the massive strides in 'active' safety systems being made by car manufacturers, such as anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and electronic stability programmes (ESP), and finding their way into mainstream cars it is still hard for drivers (particularly the less experienced) to really understand the laws of physics as the affect a vehicle at or near the available levels of grip.
Skid Car training is an invaluable aid in helping drivers to understand:
- What causes a skid and why/vehicle dynamics
- What the outcomes of a skid can be and what types of skid there are
- How to identify that a skid might be about to occur
- How to remove the cause(s)
- How to regain control and recover
Skid Car allows the trainer to simulate any level of grip (from dry road to sheet ice) in a totally safe and controlled environment.
Your Skid Car course will provide you with important, hands-on, practical experience of dealing with:
- Understeer
- Oversteer
- Four-wheel skids
- Aquaplaning
- Emergency braking techniques and avoidance routines
- Driving on ice and snow
And to cap it all, it's great fun!
Currently the Skid Car experience is retailed at £99 however Automotional drivers can buy for just £89 for 1, £175 for 2 or £255 for 3.
Our patient and experienced instructors will ensure that everyone benefits and learns at their own pace; achieving and having huge amounts of fun.
The experience lasts for 2 hours (1 ½ in car) and you will share the car with up to 2 other drivers.
